What if we flip that script and look for things to subtract instead? Because, if we subtract unnecessary things from our life, those natural gifts and abilities within will have the chance to surface and flourish.
If I want my marriage to get stronger, I can subtract judgment or criticism from my thoughts so that my husband’s positive attributes can take center stage.
If I want to build friendships I can subtract my evening video streaming routine so that I have more time to make plans to go out with people instead.
I can subtract apps from my phone that distract me from being present when my children want to engage with me.
What would you add to this list?
I bet there are things you can let go of, so that your love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, contentment or self control have a clean pathway to surface and make your life richer.
